A Bishop Jerome School of Architecture graduate, Fathima Hakkim is a self-taught artist and architect living in India. At ease with traditional and digital mediums, Fathima's aesthetic emotions manifest an animated form of magical realism. Vibrant with a deft play of sprightly light, Fathima's art evokes a sense of otherworldliness. By her own admission, art is a portal, an entryway into her dream world. Influenced by exteriors, her multi-coloured mimesis moored in the world around her turns into placid representations of the parallel worlds she believes she lives in. Apart from concept art, Fathima also does book covers, illustrations, wall art, movie posters, and storyboards.
